After years of living in London and New York City and searching for someone to tame my unruly brows, I was bowled over to find Sharon working in Gardiner, NY, a quiet upstate town where my parents live. Sharon has magic hands and the most exquisite personality — I immediately feel relaxed and in good care the moment I cross the threshold of her sanctuary/office, which smells and sounds like heaven. The skin on my face (particularly around my brows) is semi-allergic to wax, but Sharon has a special technique, products and icing tool that, together, keep everything calm. I originally started seeing Sharon because my Ukranian friend told me that she would never let anyone but Sharon touch her eyebrows. Sharon has an incredible ability to transform brows. She’s meticulous about the arches and tint. This thoroughness is something I’ve never had before.  After experiencing her ability to perfect my brows, I started getting facials. She completely transformed my skin. I no longer have breakouts and I actually get compliments on how clear and glowing I am.  I always say "I go to see Sharon so I can be beautiful again. I drive over an hour to see her and pass about 5 places on the way and I would rather wait to see her when I have time to go than to see anyone else.  One time I felt like I wouldn't be able to see her for a couple months so I went to Brazilian waxing center and I couldn't believe how truly spoiled I am with Sharon. While I'm on table, I literally get transported to another realm.  It's this extremely meditative, spiritual experience for me (of course not everyone wants to let themselves go there, but my point is that it's so relaxing that you can just fall asleep or meditate) and I leave with this crazy good energy that I take with me until the next time I see her. Her Brazilians are super quick, but do not lack on thoroughness. Not only is it the least painful experience I've ever had, I never get ingrown hairs and I look INCREDIBLE for weeks. Sharon's physically and spiritually beautiful and I would FREAK out if I couldn't see her anymore.

I've been visiting Rose Water for facials and eyebrow "neatening" ever since Sharon set up her shop in Gardiner, NY.  Before then, I'd been getting occasional facials in New York City, at Christine Valmy, Elizabeth Arden, Aveda, etc.  But a facial at Rose Water is an entirely different experience.  Sharon is a consummate, well trained professional, who continually learns new methods and techniques and uses the highest quality products. But something else happens each time I visit Rose Water and tell Sharon to "do whatever you think I need." Maybe it's the magical hand, face, and neck massage that kneads away worries and wrinkles; or maybe it's the soothing steam and aromatic potions and elixirs that Sharon applies to my stressed out skin.  All I know, is when I lie on that puffy warm bed in that dreamy blue room, everything just falls into place.

 I was once warned to never have a Brazilian wax because it was far too dangerous, and it probably would have been...with that esthetician. When I met Sharon, she asked why I was getting waxed and NOT getting a Brazilian. That was 4 (?) years ago and as long as Sharon is practicing I will never go anywhere else for this service.
